The Opportunity;

Connaught Law are currently recruiting for a Paralegal based in our London office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven office experience to join a leading Law firm.

The ideal candidate for the role will have experience of handling a varied immigration case load, be confident in technical ability and have excellent spoken and written English. You will be expected to maintain the highest professional standards of work ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities to include; 

• Applications covering all aspects of UK Immigration Rules
• Complex EEA applications
• Tier 1, 2, 4 and 5 sponsorship licence applications
• Judicial Review applications and challenges to Sponsor Licence suspensions;
• Making representations to UKVI in cases of sponsor licence suspensions
• Naturalisation and registration as British citizens
• Administrative review requests on behalf of corporate clients under the points-based system
• Appeals to the First Tier Tribunal:
• Discretionary leave/Asylum and humanitarian protection applications

What we are looking for;

As a Legal Assistant you will be working in a busy team environment liaising clients with colleagues so we require the following.

• Law Society or OISC accreditation preferable;
• Able to generate fees following predetermined targets;
• Good drafting and writing skills as well as possessing an excellent ability to communicate;
• Able to manage and adhere to strict deadlines;
• Current knowledge and skills in compliance with continual professional development;
• Strong client care, IT and business development skills.
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Someone who works well in fast pace environment
• Knowledge of legal processes is desirable but not essential
