Qazi Atif Ali: Associate Lawyer

Qazi is a lawyer specialising in advice, representation and advocacy in all areas of immigration, asylum, nationality, deportation, detention, EU free movement and human rights law. He has been passionate about having a career as a lawyer since a young age and started working in the field of law before graduating.

Qazi’s practice focuses on advice and representation in sensitive cases involving people from various countries trying to regularise their stay or move to the UK. He is able to deploy creative arguments to assist clients, both in the UK and Pakistan, seeking legal solutions based on their private and family life. He is also developing practise focusing on employment law, civil claims and family disputes.

He completed his degree from London South Bank University with honours and was granted eligibility for membership with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. During his studies, he took an active part in mooting and went abroad to attend courses on the free movement of a person in the EU. Later he obtained a master’s in law in Human Rights with honours from the University of London. At present, he is also a candidate for Doctor of Philosophy in Law (PHD) and focuses on Human Rights and asylum seekers. Qazi is a researcher at the University of Northampton and a visiting lecturer at the School of Economics and Law.

Additionally, he is a dual-qualified lawyer, having been admitted as an advocate of High Court Pakistan. Before evolving his practice in the UK, he developed his work in Pakistan as a public law practitioner and represented high profile individuals and multinational organisations. He is one of the most dedicated young lawyers in the country with a recommendation from the judiciary of the UK and Pakistan. He frequently travels to Pakistan and works closely with the Government of Sindh, Pakistan.

Qazi enjoys travelling and loves to read for leisure with novels of John Grisham and Dan Brown being his favourites. He is a football lover and is an FC Barcelona fan.
