Mishaal Sajid: Paralegal
Mishaal works as an immigration and family law paralegal providing comprehensive legal support at our firm.
Her work mainly comprises of preparing visa applications, including but not limited to entry clearance, spouse, naturalisation/British citizenship, long residency, EEA, adult, and child dependents etc as well as appeals. Mishaal also keenly works on asylum, deportation, and human rights claims.
Mishaal also assists our family law solicitor in complex financial disputes (with international elements) and associated divorce proceedings. Known for her compassionate approach and clear communication with clients, she is also commended for her attention to detail, drafting, and organisation skills.
Following the completion of her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2021, Mishaal successfully completed the Barrister Training Course (BTC) with a commendation as well as Master of Laws (LLM) in 2023. She is an active member of the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2023. She has also been awarded various awards for obtaining highest distinctions in her academic years.
Mishaal has formerly worked as a legal assistant at the Supreme Court of Pakistan (International Disputes Unit) whereby she assisted on renowned international arbitration cases and drafted bilateral investment treaties on behalf of Pakistan.
In addition to work experience from several foreign law firms, Mishaal has completed International Law Certification Course and training in Protecting Human and Legal Rights of Mentally Disordered by the World Health Organisation and NHS, Scotland. She has headed multiple Model United Nations and has remained a student ambassador for WWF and Wetlands Conservation throughout her academic years.
In her spare time, Mishaal engages in community causes and charity work. She is an active participant of the Aurat (Women) March and has been involved in fundraising for diabetic patients as well as food drives for marginalised groups in Pakistan since 2017.
Mishaal is fluent in English, Urdu, and Pahari thereby ensuring effective communication with clients from diverse backgrounds.
