Maisha Khanom: Solicitor

Maisha read Law (LLB Hons) at SOAS, University of London and graduated in 2017 with an Upper Second-Class Honours Degree. During this time, Maisha achieved an award for having the Best Performance in her cohort year. She also has been certificated a Legal Research Award by Westlaw UK for her outstanding research skills. Maisha plans to study the LPC in September 2019 and to qualify as a solicitor in the near future.

Maisha joined Connaughts in April 2018 as a paralegal and assists in dealing with complex legal issues and conducting extensive legal research. Maisha assists on matters relating to family law including children related matters and divorce, as well as personal immigration law, appeals and judicial review cases. She has assisted on a vast spectrum of immigration applications, ranging from Asylum to detention matters.

Maisha has a keen interest in family law and has had the responsibility to prepare statements and applications in respect of the same. She takes great pride in her work and ensures that whatever she produces is of an exceptional standard. She also has a keen eye for detail and has an in-depth understanding of legal proceedings.

Maisha is a confident, reliable, and efficient individual who wishes to specialise in the area of Family Law.

In her spare time, Maisha enjoys getting involved in charitable work. In 2017, she went abroad to Zimbabwe and spent several months there helping orphans and vulnerable children.
