Mahnoor has extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of UK Immigration Law including the Points Based System, Appendix W, Asylum, EEA Regulations/Appendix EU, detention, deportation, Human Rights, nationality, and statelessness.

Mahnoor enjoys contentious legal work and has particular focus on Administrative and Public Law in her daily work. She regularly advises clients on applications for Judicial Review lodged in the Upper Tribunal and the High Court, as well as Appellant’s Notices, lodged in the Court of Appeal. Mahnoor also handles appeals and permission to appeal applications submitted in the First-tier Tribunal and senior courts.

Prior to joining Connaughts, Mahnoor acquired experience in various areas of Law and achieved academic success. She completed her Legal Practice Course achieving a Distinction grade overall and, in every core, and elective module is undertaken. Mahnoor also completed a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with the prize for obtaining the highest Distinction grade in Energy Law and the Prize for Academic Excellence for obtaining the highest overall Distinction grade in the entire cohort.

Mahnoor advises on all aspects of relationship planning and breakdown with a particular focus on divorce, separation and cohabitation agreements. She regularly advises on financial matters and cases concerning the protection of victims of domestic violence including non-molestation orders.

Mahnoor also has experience in private children proceedings with particular focus on child arrangement orders and complex matters including concerns of abduction and domestic violence. She prides herself in being able to offer an empathetic yet professional service to her clients.

Mahnoor is experienced in advising both employees and employers in various employment related claims including unfair dismissal (ordinary and constructive), all aspects of discrimination and unlawful deduction of wages. She has a proven track record of securing the best results for her clients whilst maintaining a realistic outlook. She is experienced in achieving cost-effective out-of-court settlements where it is appropriate for her clients.
